Have you ever read a book and kept saying to yourself, “This author wrote this just for me!” Now, obviously unless you are very egotistical or self absorbed that probably isn’t the case, but there are certain books that resonate with your soul and leave an eternal echo on your mind and heart.
One such book that has done that for me is The Greener Grass Conspiracy by Stephen Altrogge. This is not a overtly theological book nor a lengthy one. But, it is a deep one. The premise behind the book is how we are guilty of always looking for the greener grass (aka something better than what we have). All of us are guilty of this, no matter how little or how much we have.
Stephen helps ground us in biblical truth and exhorts us to godly contentment. He uses everyday language and examples to drive home application. If you are struggling with contentment in any way, shape or form, then buy this book and read it. I have given my copy away and recommended it over and over again.
